Daybook Entry

FOR TODAY...

Outside My Window...
sunlight is beaming happily through the clouds
and bouncing off the snow-turned-ice in our yard and in the trees...
oh, and the wind is whipping like crazy!!
The trees are performing a fabulous dance!
Beautiful!

I am thinking...
that I'm really going to be leaning hard on Him this week.

I am thankful for...
my godly parents.

From the learning rooms...
we're still on Christmas break
and enjoying every minute of it!
*smile*

From the kitchen...
I'll be baking bread today
and planning out the week's supper menu.

I am wearing...
black, red and gray striped socks,
comfy jeans,
my favorite Old Navy sweatshirt
and a bandana in my hair-
but not for long - just haven't "done" my hair yet. ;o)

I am creating...
not much this week -
I'm trying to catch up on some reading
so I'll be laying aside my knitting for a brief time.

I am going...
to stay home as much as possible this week!
I'll probably order my groceries online
from our local grocery store that delivers
and stay hunkered down at home, if I can!

I am reading...
my latest Martha Stewart,
Better Homes and Gardens
and Family Fun magazines.

I am hoping...
that the kids will play nicely today...this week...forever!
*sigh/smile*

I am hearing...
little footsteps running around upstairs.

Around the house...
our master bath has been cleaned,
bed linens stripped and being washed,
second load of laundry going,
the kitchen is cleaned up after breakfast,
all the Christmas decorations are taken down and put away,
and I have hung a few recent pictures on the walls -
I am feeling very much the need to simplify
and so I've cleared off most of the flat surfaces
(buffet, side tables, piano, benches, etc)
and hope to keep them clutter-free and SIMPLIFIED!

One of my favorite things...
Chocolate chip cookie dough.
*smile*

A Picture thought I am sharing with you...

This was taken on one of our family Nature Hikes at a nearby Nature Center-

I love how even the trees stretch their arms towards heaven in worship!
